PE and Sport Premium
Department for Education Vision for the Primary PE and Sport Premium states that:
“All primary pupils will be physically literate and have the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.”
To achieve ongoing improvements in the quality of our PE and sport at Rivertree Free School, it’s crucial that our spending focuses on creating long-lasting impact aligned with our vision.
We expect to see improvements in the following five key areas:
- Engagement: All pupils participate regularly in physical activity, fostering healthy, active lifestyles.
- Profile: PE and sport are promoted throughout the school as a tool for whole-school improvement.
- Staff Development: All staff have increased confidence, knowledge, and skills in teaching PE and sport.
- Variety: Pupils have broader experiences across a range of sports and activities.
- Participation: There’s increased involvement in competitive sport.
